Electronic Music Production Course
In this introductory course on electronic music, students will learn how to get started on creating their own original electronic music tracks and remixes. Using the resources of SOMA's Digital MIDI lab, students will be exposed to the basics of using a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) software and concepts of music arrangement.

Topics include learning to lay down beats and grooves, composition methods (as they apply to electronic music), arrangement in different electronic styles, sound design and synthesis, working with samples and soft synths, and finally using effects to enhance a final mix.

Commencement Date: 17th Sept 2010

Course Duration: 7 weeks, Every Friday 8pm - 10pm

Songwriting & Production Analysis
